Pipers eliminate Tommies from MIAC playoffs

The St. Thomas baseball team was unable to maintain an early lead as its short-lived MIAC Baseball Playoff appearance came to an end Friday with a 4-7 loss to Hamline.

St. Mary’s upset the top-seed Tommies 7-0 in the opening game of the double elimination MIAC Baseball Playoffs Thursday night in Collegeville.

The St. Thomas baseball team wrapped up the regular season and will claim the MIAC conference title, despite two losses Sunday in a non-conference doubleheader against St. Scholastica.

The St. Thomas baseball team took on the Hamline Pipers in a doubleheader Wednesday at CHS Field in St. Paul. The Tommies won the first game 9-0 and took the second 11-9.

The St. Thomas baseball team took a step toward winning a conference championship on Tuesday, beating preseason MIAC favorite Bethel twice on the road in Arden Hills, Minnesota.
