The St. Thomas men’s basketball team defeated Carleton College 68-61 Monday night at Shoenecker Arena. The Tommies need one win in their last two games to claim a first-round playoff bye and a top-two seed.

The St. Thomas men’s basketball team defeated Concordia-Moorhead 62-54 Saturday at Schoenecker Arena. The Tommies clinched a conference playoff berth with the win and remained one game behind first-place Gustavus.

The St. John’s men’s basketball team defeated St. Thomas 61-56 Wednesday night at Schoenecker Arena, completing a regular season sweep of the Tommies for the first time since the 1993-94 season.

Six players scored in double figures for the Tommies, and Wednesday night’s 89-73 win over Hamline keeps the team in first-place in the MIAC.

Bethel’s Kellan Dahlquist rebounded a missed 3-pointer and banked in the game-winning shot at the buzzer to spark the Royals (7-7 overall, 3-6 MIAC) to a 69-68 upset over St. Thomas (10-4, 7-2) Monday night in Schoenecker Arena.

Junior Will DeBerg’s team-high 15 points off the bench was the spark St. Thomas needed to snap a two-game losing streak.

Junior John Nance’s 15 points helped the men’s basketball team (7-1 overall, 4-0 MIAC) overcome a slow first half to defeat Macalester (0-7, 0-4) 86-64 Wednesday evening at Schoenecker Arena.

Senior Tommy Hannon’s 21 points led the St. Thomas men’s basketball team (5-1) over Gustavus Adolphus College (2-2) 79-61 Saturday at home.
