Public Safety briefs

On Sept. 28 at 1:45 a.m., a UST neighbor reported neighborhood complaint on the 1600 block of Wellesley Avenue. The neighbor reported ongoing concerns regarding an address on the block.

On Sept. 28 at 7:40 a.m., a UST employee reported a recovered wallet in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. A UST student’s wallet, previously reported stolen, was secured as found property inventory.

On Sept. 29 at 4:12 p.m., a UST student reported a theft outside of Murray-Herrick Campus Center. The student’s unsecured bicycle was stolen from the west MHC bike rack.

On Sept. 29 at 9:55 p.m., a UST employee reported an odor of marijuana in Ireland Residence Hall. Four UST students were found to have used and were in possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia.

On Sept. 30 at 1:42 a.m., Public Safety reported a liquor law violation on the 2100 block of Summit Avenue. An underage intoxicated UST was sent home with a parent.

On Sept. 30 at 9:28 a.m.,a UST student reported a burglary on the 1900 block of Grand Avenue. Several pieces of personal property were stolen from the student’s secured residence.

On Oct. 1 at 1:31 a.m., a UST employee reported an odor of marijuana in Ireland Residence Hall. A UST student was found in possession of marijuana related paraphernalia and two non-UST affiliated individuals were trespassed from campus.

On Oct. 1 at 1:43 a.m., a UST student reported a suspicious incident in Flynn Residence Hall. A flower placed in the student’s secured residence was later determined to be a prank by a second student.

On Oct. 2 at 12:59 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a liquor law violation in LOT K. An intoxicated juvenile was transported by SPPD to an area hospital for medical attention.

On Oct. 2 at 11:17 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in John Paul II Residence Hall. A plumbing malfunctioning caused a toilet in a residence to continue to run and overflow.

On Oct. 3 at 2:43 a.m., Public Safety reported property damage in Morrison R2 Ramp. A fire extinguisher cabinet was struck and knocked off of a pillar in R2.

On Oct. 4 at 1:04 a.m., a UST student reported property damage on the 2100 block of Selby Avenue. The front passenger window of a second student’s parked vehicle was smashed.

On Oct. 5 at 1:17 p.m., a UST student reported a theft on the 400 block of Snelling Avenue. The student’s wallet was stolen from an off campus location and their debit card was used to make unauthorized purchases.

On Oct. 5 at 4:26 p.m., a UST neighbor reported property damage on the 2000 block of Dayton Avenue. A lamp post on the neighbor’s property was bent and damaged.

On Oct. 5 at 10:21 p.m., a UST student reported a theft in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. The student’s unsecured iPod was stolen from their backpack.

On Oct. 6 at 8:36 a.m., Public Safety reported a fire on the 2100 block of Dayton Avenue. A pile of clothes in a non-UST affiliated individual’s residence was on fire. The fire was extinguished by the St. Paul Fire Department and the individual was transported to an area hospital for further medical attention. The value of the damage is currently not known.

On Oct. 6 at 7:43 p.m., a UST student reported a theft in Morrison Hall. The student was defrauded of payment for an item they sold as part of an online transaction.
