Public Safety briefs

On Oct. 1, 2014 at 2:29 a.m., Public Safety documented an intoxicated person on the 2100 block of St. Claire Avenue. An intoxicated St. Thomas student of legal age was released to a sober caregiver.

On Oct. 1, 2014 at 6:29 p.m., Public Safety assisted a St. Thomas student in the Morrison Hall Public Safety Office. The student was provided for resources for two additional students she believed may be in crisis.

On Oct. 1, 2014 at 7:38 a.m., Public Safety documented a burglary on the 100 block of Cleveland Avenue South. A St. Thomas student reported his off campus residence was burglarized and several pieces of property were stolen.

On Oct. 2, 2014 at 11:11 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical situation in O’Shaughnessy Science Hall. A St. Thomas student who fainted was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention. PUBLIC_SAFETY_THUMB8

On Oct. 3, 2014 at 8:30 a.m., Public Safety documented a motor vehicle accident in Lot G. A St. Thomas student backed into a St. Thomas employee’s parked motorcycle, causing minor damage to both vehicles.

On Oct. 3, 2014 at 3:25 p.m., Public Safety documented a liquor law violation at Selby Avenue and Finn Street. The St. Paul Police Department reported an underage non-affiliated individual was cited for underage consumption and taken to Detox.

On Oct. 3, 2014 at 3:36 p.m., Public Safety documented a weapons law violation at Dayton Avenue and Moore Street. SPPD reported two non-affiliated suspects were arrested for illegal transportation of firearms and possession of a controlled substance.

On Oct. 3, 2014 at 11:31 p.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a liquor law violation in Brady Hall. Five underage St. Thomas resident students and two underage guests were found to have consumed alcohol.

On Oct. 4, 2014 at 12:29 a.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a liquor law violation in Dowling Hall. An underage intoxicated St. Thomas student was sent off campus with a sober caregiver.

On Oct. 4, 2014 at 12: 24 a.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a liquor law violation in Brady Hall. Five underage St. Thomas students were found to have consumed alcohol.

On Oct. 4, 2014 at 12:44 a.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department Medics responded to a liquor law violation in Koch Commons. A severely intoxicated underage student was transported by Medics to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On Oct. 4, 2014 at 1:01 a.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with an odor of marijuana in Brady Hall. Two St. Thomas students were found to have consumed alcohol and a third student possessed marijuana related paraphernalia.

On Oct. 5, 2014 at 1:38 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity on the 2000 block of Grand Avenue. SPPD reported a non-St. Thomas affiliated individual, reported bothering patrons at SuperAmerica, was taken into custody.
