Public Safety briefs – Feb. 23, 2015

On Feb. 9, 2015 at 1:27 p.m. Public Safety documented an aggravated robbery in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A St. Thomas employee on sabbatical reported he was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown suspect.

On Feb. 10, 2015 at 11:30 p.m. Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a medical in Dowling Hall. An underage intoxicated St. Thomas student was sent off campus with a sober caregiver.

On Feb. 11, 2015 at 1:57 a.m. Public Safety reported a non-St. Thomas affiliated juvenile sleeping outside of Minneapolis Opus Hall. The Minneapolis Police Department transported the individual to the Juvenile Supervision Center.

On Feb. 11, 2015 at 4:29 a.m. Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics responded to suspicious activity in the Morrison R2 parking garage. A non-St. Thomas affiliated individual, who was disoriented and in a state of undress, was transported to an area hospital.

On Feb. 12, 2015 at 5:44 a.m. Public Safety and Residence Life performed a welfare check in John Paul II Hall. A St. Thomas student, who had not reported for an off-campus military drill, was located in her residence and was OK.

On Feb. 12, 2015 at 3:35 p.m. Public Safety documented a disturbance on the 1000 block of Laurel Avenue. A landlord reported a physical altercation occurred at a St. Thomas student’s off-campus residence.

On Feb. 12, 2015 at 2:02 a.m. Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a disturbance outside of Alumni and Constituent Relations. An intoxicated underage non-St. Thomas affiliated individual, urinating outside of Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex, was sent off campus.

On Feb. 13, 2015 at 2:03 p.m. Public Safety assisted a St. Thomas student in Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. The student’s cell phone, initially reported as stolen, was later turned in as found property inventory.

On Feb. 14, 2015 at 12:21 a.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Morrison Hall. A Residence Life staff member reported a box set out for a food collection was damaged and food spread around the sixth floor common area.

On Feb. 15, 2015 at 2:47 a.m. Public Safety responded to a noise complaint in Morrison Hall. Two roommates, who were arguing about a personal matter, were advised of proper noise levels.

On Feb. 16, 2015 at 2:12 p.m. Public Safety reported an arson in Ireland Hall. A name tag on a student’s door was found to have been intentionally burned.

On Feb. 17, 2015 at 10:09 a.m. Public Safety responded to a vehicle accident at Cretin and Grand avenues. Officers assisted a St. Thomas student who was struck by a vehicle while crossing the intersection and later declined further medical attention.

On Feb. 18, 2015 at 8:46 p.m. Public Safety and SPFD medics responded to a medical in Morrison Hall. Medics transported a St. Thomas student who experienced a seizure to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On Feb. 19, 2015 at 9:10 p.m. Public Safety documented property damage in Murray-Herrick Center. A St. Thomas employee reported graffiti was etched into the mirrors in the lower level men’s restroom.
