Brandon Miranda, political science and Catholic studies double major, 3.01 GPA

Miranda is from Dixon, Calif. He is a Tommie Ambassador, member of the Festival Choir, KUST Campus Radio, UST College Republicans, Knights of Columbus and UST Students for Human Life. He is also on the executive boards of the Summit Singers and the Theology club, and he serves on several committees on the Undergraduate Student Government.

Miranda said his greatest accomplishment is having visited all of St. Thomas’ campuses, including the Bernardi Campus in Rome. He said one of his favorite memories of his college career—apart from studying in Rome—was singing the “Ave Maria” for the 2012 Festival Choir spring concert.

Even though he has a poem published in an anthology, Miranda said most students do not know that he loves to read and write poetry.

Miranda said he hopes to follow his vocation and join the seminary after graduation.
