Clayton is from Shoreview, Minn. An Aquinas Scholar, Clayton is also a National Residence Hall Honorary member, an operations manager for Dowling Hall and the chair of Undergraduate Student Government’s student organization committee.

Clayton said she is proud to have maintained her 4.0 GPA during her role as operations manager. The 90-degree weather during Dowling staff training led to sleepovers in the air conditioning, which Clayton said is one of her favorite memories at St. Thomas.

She said other students might not be aware that she can lick her elbow.

After she graduates, Clayton will begin a career as an actuarial scientist with Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis. Clayton said she looks forward to having her first off-campus apartment “where (she) can actually paint the walls.”
