Mariann Kukielka, entrepreneurship and business communication major, 3.28 GPA

Kukielka is from Shoreview, Minnesota. She is on the swim and dive team, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Delta Sigma Pi and serves as a first year commuter adviser. She also volunteers with Special Olympics Minnesota and Junior Achievement.

St. Thomas President Julie Sullivan asked Kukielka to participate on the strategic planning committee to represent students’ voices, something Kukielka considers to be her greatest accomplishment. Her favorite memory as a Tommie was when the swim team took a break to watch the tree lighting ceremony from the windows of the pool, seeing everyone come together for the ceremony.

As a huge Harry Potter fan, Kukielka said one interesting thing about her is her cousin met Daniel Radcliffe’s student double and brought her a Gryffindor scarf from the set of the movie.

Moving into the future, Kukielka is looking to combine her business major and her interest in fashion with a possible move to New York.
