Pertl is from Eden Prairie, Minnesota. On campus, she has been involved as the lead business office assistant for the Business Office, president and financial chairperson of the Volleyball Enthusiasts Club and manager of the Men’s Volleyball Club.

Her greatest achievement at St. Thomas is expecting to graduate with a triple major and minor. Pertl said she has always loved learning and pushing herself to do her absolute best and believes graduating with a triple major is an accurate reflection of her drive to succeed in everything she tries.

Pertl also loves volleyball and has been able to continue this passion at St. Thomas by playing at a collegiate level against other universities’ club teams. She has enjoyed meeting people who share her same passion for volleyball while in college.

Her favorite memory at St. Thomas was being accepted into the London Business Semester for her junior year, a program she had dreamed about taking part in since she was a sophomore in high school. She was able to learn about intercultural relations and discover things about herself on the trip.

Pertl said she has always loved fashion and one of her favorite internships during college was for an online fashion blog. Her dream career would be a fashion editor or stylist for an editorial print, such as Vogue or Cosmopolitan.
