2016 Tommie Award nominee: Zander Tsadwa

Zander Tsadwa, sociology major, philosophy and American culture and difference minors, 3.54 GPA

Tsadwa is from St. Paul, Minnesota. On campus, he has been vice president of the Black Empowerment Student Association, vice president of the African Nations’ Student Association, an intern for Student Diversity and Inclusion Services and a research assistant for the Sociology Department.

Tsadwa was a semifinalist for the 2014 Fowler Business Concept Challenge. This year, he is a finalist in the 2015 Challenge, which he said is his greatest achievement at St. Thomas to date.

He enjoys blogging, songwriting, learning languages and playing the FIFA video game in his free time. Some of his favorite memories at St. Thomas have been socializing in the Student Diversity and Inclusion Services Office.

Tsadwa is passionate about global cultural development. He wants to be a cultural engineer and social entrepreneur in the future.
