New peeping charges filed after videos found

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A St. Paul man with previous convictions for peeping in windows of unsuspecting women is facing charges again. Police say a search of his home has turned up videos of women, including a naked teenage girl.

Authorities say the videos were found during an investigation of other peeping incidents. A complaint charging John Searle with privacy invasion says investigators found videos of women and couples inside their homes that were recorded from outside of a window.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the 44-year-old Searle has prior convictions for peeping dating back to the 1990s. It was not immediately clear if Searle has an attorney.
