Public Safety alerts of off-campus simple assault

St. Thomas Public Safety sent out an email Thursday morning alerting the St. Thomas community of an off-campus incident that occurred Tuesday night.

On May 9, at approximately 9:40 PM, Public Safety said a St. Thomas student was walking home from campus along Lincoln Avenue just east of Cleveland Avenue when an unidentified male suspect approached the student from behind and pulled up her dress. The student turned around and verbally confronted the suspect causeing the suspect to flee on foot, according to the report. The suspect fled west on Lincoln Avenue before turning north on Cleveland Avenue.

Public Safety described the suspect as a “white male, late teens to early twenties, approximately 5’8″ – 5’11” in height, dark curly hair. He was observed wearing blue jeans and a red hat.”
