Public Safety briefs – Nov. 3, 2015

On Oct. 23 at 1:17 a.m. Public Safety reported suspicious activity outside of the Binz Refectory. An individual not affiliated with St. Thomas, who had unwanted contact with a St. Thomas employee, was identified by officers and sent off campus.

On Oct. 24 at 9:50 p.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity in the lower quad. Two unidentified individuals, casing bicycles outside of Murray-Herrick Campus Center, fled the area upon being observed by officers.

On Oct. 24 at 10:54 p.m. Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to suspicious activity in Lot A. An unidentified individual, reported as looking in vehicles parked in the lot, could not be located upon officers’ check of the area.

On Oct. 26 at 10:36 p.m. Public Safety reported a policy violation in the Morrison Hall Public Safety Office. A St. Thomas student’s wallet, turned in as found property, was found to contain a fake ID.

On Oct. 27 at 2:47 p.m. Public Safety reported a fire in the Anderson Student Center. A small fire in a toaster at T’s was extinguished on its own without injury or any apparent damages.

On Oct. 28 at 12:06 p.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Terrence Murphy Hall. A St. Thomas employee reported some bread had gone missing from Food For Thought.

On Oct. 31 at 3:40 a.m. Public Safety responded to a disturbance in Flynn Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student and a guest were found to have been fighting in the student’s residence, and the guest was removed from campus.

On Oct. 31 at 10:24 p.m. Public Safety documented suspicious activity on the 2000 block of Iglehart Avenue. A St. Thomas neighbor’s report of pumpkins being taken from his property and destroyed could not be verified.

On Nov. 1 at 1:30 a.m. Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to an assault in the Morrison Parking Garage. An underage intoxicated student, who fought with officers, was cited for assault and underage consumption and was taken to detox.

On Nov. 1 at 2:37 a.m. Public Safety responded to a disturbance in Dowling Residence Hall. Three underage St Thomas students had run through the building destroying decorations on each floor and were also found to have consumed alcohol.
