St. Thomas Public Safety sent an email to students, staff and faculty today informing the community that the skyway linking Schulze Hall and the Minneapolis School of Law is closed due to a potential structural error.

The email said the skyway is closed until a structural survey can be completed. It is anticipated to re-open on Wednesday.

Senior Kate Strong said she didn’t mind the inconvenience in the warmer weather. “Since it is getting nicer outside, I don’t mind going outside for a little while, thankfully.”

Still, second-year law student Pat O’Neil hopes the structure opens again soon.

“The sooner it gets up and running the better,” he said.

Facilities Management could not be immediately reached for comment.
