St. Thomas senior Denis Kato, 26, died early Sunday from a yet-unknown cause.

Neither foul play nor suicide are suspected in Kato’s death, according to Vice President of University Relations Doug Hennes. An autopsy is ongoing.

The business administration major was a Uganda native and attending St. Thomas with his twin brother Derick Wasswa and older brother Rogers Ssebuufu, according to the Newsroom. Another older brother, Julius Kasagga, is a St. Thomas graduate.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16 in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. St. Thomas president emeritus Dennis Dease will preside.

Visitation begins at 9:30 that morning, and campus bells will toll in Kato’s honor from 10:55 to 11 a.m.
