2013 Tommie Award Nominee: Collin Kearney

Collin Kearney, business major with a concentration in operations and supply chain management, 3.12 GPA

Kearney is from Fontana, Wis. He is the Undergraduate Student Government’s vice president of administrative affairs, a Tommie Ambassador, tour guide, and admissions student-to-student communicator. Kearney was the junior class president and is involved in Enactus.  121126_™_AWARD_KEARNEY_pic

Kearney has achieved dean’s list honors twice and has been accepted to a 2013 January Term study abroad program in Africa.

Kearney said the relationships he has built at St. Thomas have made an impact on his life. He said he doesn’t believe he would have have had the same opportunities or experiences anywhere else.

His business, Widget Wah! is one thing Kearney says makes him unique. Along with fellow senior, Mike Orth, Kearney designs iPhone cases that are sold at high schools and Division III colleges and universities.

Along with running his business, Kearney plans to get a job in healthcare working with sales or operations after he graduates.
