Illinois Wesleyan seniors rap about ‘Friday’s’ game against St. Thomas

Two Illinois Wesleyan seniors were so inspired by Rebecca Black’s song ”Friday” at Thursday’s NCAA tournament banquet that they used the tune to rap about Friday’s game against St. Thomas. Watch the video here.

Were they really “inspired”? If so, I feel somewhat embarrassed for them. If they were doing this ironically, that makes me feel better about the players, but not this headline/story. But maybe the headline is being ironic too? Can media outlets use irony?
