Public Safety briefs

On July 18 at 7:22 p.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Police Department responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Summit Avenue and Cleveland Avenue. Two non-UST affiliated individuals’ vehicles struck each other, rendering both vehicles inoperable, but no injuries were reported.

On July 18 at 10:18 p.m., Public Safety responded to fireworks along Cleveland Avenue. A non-UST affiliated individual, setting off fireworks outside of Sitzman Hall, was identified and advised to leave the area.

On July 19 at 12:49 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a noise/party complaint on the 2000 block of Laurel Avenue. Noise from a residence on the block ceased upon being approached by SPPD.

On July 19 at 4:19 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation at the intersection of Selby Avenue and Finn Street. An underage UST student was found to have consumed alcohol.

On July 20 at 7:13 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft outside of Summit Classroom Building. A UST student reported his secured bicycle was stolen from the bike rack outside of SCB.

On July 20 at 9:16 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in O’Shaughnessy Stadium. A UST employee reported an unidentified individual, who has been using exercise equipment in STA and behaving suspiciously, left when approached and asked for ID.

On July 21 at 3:21 a.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in O’Shaughnessy Education Center. Several bags of personal property belonging to a non-UST affiliated individual were recovered from an OEC stairwell.

On July 21 at 12:39 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in Terrence Murphy Hall. A lower level sprinkler head was damaged during construction work, causing flooding.

On July 21 at 5:52 p.m., Public Safety responded to disorderly conduct outside of Terrence Murphy Hall. A non-UST affiliated individual, sleeping outside of TMH, who became disorderly with officers was escorted off campus.

On July 22 at 2:45 a.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Schulze Hall. A purse was recovered from the garbage in the first floor SCH men’s restroom and secured as found property inventory.

On July 22 at 7:38 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage on the MacPhail Building. White spray paint graffiti was found on an exterior MacPahil wall.

On July 22 at 10:35 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft from a vehicle at the intersection of 10th Street and Harmon Place. The passenger window of a UST student’s parked vehicle was smashed and a backpack containing personal property was stolen.
