Public Safety briefs

On August 15 at 3:11 a.m., Public Safety and the Minneapolis Police Department responded to an assault outside of Minneapolis School of Law. Two disorderly non-UST affiliated individuals, who assaulted an officer, were arrested by MPD.

On August 15 at 3:50 a.m., Public Safety and the Minneapolis Police Department responded to a medical outside of Minneapolis School of Law. An officer who was injured when responding to an incident outside of MSL was transported by MPD to an area medical facility for additional assistance.

On August 15 at 10:17 a.m., Public Safety reported a theft at an off-campus location in New Brighton. A UST student reported her purse, containing personal property, was stolen from a non-UST event.

On August 16 at 2:45 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage outside of McNeely Hall. Silver paint graffiti was found on UST patio furniture.

On August 16 at 3:03 p.m., Public Safety reported written threats in Morrison Hall. A UST guest reported they received a threatening electronic message from an unidentified individual.

On August 17 at 12:15 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a noise/party complaint on the 1900 block of Carroll Avenue. SPPD advised the residents of an address on the block of proper noise levels.

On August 18 at 1:53 a.m., Public Safety responded to public urination in Lot A. A UST student was found urinating in the lot.

On August 18 at 10:39 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Summit Ave and Cretin Avenue. A non-UST affiliated individual rear ended a second non-UST affiliated individual’s vehicle, rendering the first vehicle inoperable, but causing no injuries.

On August 18 at 12:05 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft from vehicle in the Monument Park parking lot. A UST alumnus reported the passenger window of their secured vehicle was smashed and a purse containing personal property was stolen.

On August 18 at 4:58 p.m., Public Safety assisted a UST employee in Morrison Hall with documenting a dispute a non-UST affiliated individual had with UST administrators regarding tuition remission policy.

On August 19 at 4:26 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Morrison Hall. A fraudulent application was submitted to the HR website by an unidentified individual.

On August 20 at 4:39 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation in Lot B. An underage intoxicated non-UST affiliated individual was sent home with a parent.

On August 21 at 2:00 p.m., Public Safety assisted the UST community by donating eight abandoned bicycles to Express Bike Shop.
