Public Safety briefs

On September 1 at 11:23 p.m., Public Safety reported drug possession at St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN. A UST student was found to have used marijuana and a second underage UST student was found to have used alcohol.

On September 1 at 1:07 p.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department Medics responded to a medical in Byrne Residence. A BYR resident, who fell and injured his ankle, was transported by medics to an area facility for further medical attention.

On September 1 at 6:34 p.m., Public Safety responded to solicitation on the upper quad. A non-UST affiliated individual soliciting people for money was escorted off campus.

On September 2 at 12:32 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Summit Classroom Building. A UST employee reported several UST computers were missing from a classroom.

On September 2 at 10:19 a.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics responded to a medical in Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. A UST guest, who was not feeling well, was transported by medics to an area medical facility for further assistance.

On September 2 at 12:26 p.m., Public Safety assisted the Minneapolis Police Department with an investigation in Morrison Hall. A piece of stolen property, recovered by MPD, could not be verified as UST property.

On September 3 at 1:37 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a noise/party complaint on the 2100 block of Marshall Avenue. SPPD advised the residents of an address on the block of proper noise levels.

On September 3 at 9:58 p.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation in 2151 Grand Avenue. Four underage UST students were found to have consumed alcohol.

On September 4 at 3:43 a.m., Public Safety reported property damage at St. John’s Vianney. A lower level was found damaged.

On September 4 at 1:44 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Morrison Hall. A UST employee, who was stung by a bee, was assisted by an officer and declined further medical attention.

On September 4 at 9:38 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident near the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Grand Avenue. A UST student reported an unidentified individual in an unknown vehicle followed him for a short distance.

On September 4 at 10:46 p.m., Public Safety assisted a UST parent with a welfare check in 2151 Grand Avenue. The parent’s student, who the parent was unable to reach by phone, was located in their residence in 51G and was okay.

On September 4 at 11:48 p.m., Public Safety reported a liquor law violation near the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Summit Avenue.The St. Paul Police Department reported that two UST students were found near the intersection with open containers of alcohol.

On September 5 at 12:15 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to an intoxicated person on the 100 block of Fairview Avenue. An intoxicated UST student of legal drinking age was transported to detox by SPPD.

On September 5 at 3:39 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation outside of Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Two underage intoxicated UST students were sent home with parents.

On September 6 at 12:18 a.m., Public Safety reported a disturbance at the intersection of Marshall Avenue and Cleveland Avenue. A report of two individuals fighting could not be verified upon officers’ serach of the area.

On September 6 at 1:09 a.m., Public Safety reported a disturbance at the intersection of Selby Avenue and Prior Avenue. An unknown disturbance, reported to the St. Paul Police Department, could not be verified upon officers’ search of the area.

On September 6 at 2:32 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation outside of Ireland Residence Hall. Four underage UST students were found to have consumed alcohol.

On September 6 at 3:43 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation outside of Murray-Herrick Campus Center. An underage intoxicated non-UST affiliated individual was sent home with a family member.

On September 6 at 4:10 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation outside of Dowling Residence Hall. Two underage UST students were found to have consumed alcohol.

On September 6 at 8:31 p.m., Public Safety responded to an odor of marijuana in Flynn Residence Hall. A UST student was found to have used and was in possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia.

On September 7 at 12:29 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation in Murray Residence Hall. An underage UST student was found in possession of alcohol.

On September 7 at 12:39 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a noise/party complaint on the 2100 block of Marshall Avenue. SPPD cleared a large group of people from a residence on a block.

On September 7 at 1:30 a.m., Public Safety responded to a suspicious odor in Morrison Hall. A report of an odor of marijuana could not be verified upon officer investigation.

On September 7 at 1:53 a.m., Public Safety reported a liquor law violation on the 1900 block of Ashland Avenue. The St. Paul Police Department reported an underage intoxicated UST student was attempting to enter a residence.

On September 7 at 2:07 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Morrison Hall. A UST student was experiencing a reaction to poison ivy, was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention.

On September 7 at 8:58 a.m., Public Safety reported vehicle damage on the 2100 block of Dayton Avenue. A UST neighbor reported the driver’s side mirror of their vehicle was smashed.

On September 7 at 9:47 a.m., Public Safety reported vehicle damage on the 2100 block of Dayton Avenue. A UST neighbor reported the driver’s side mirror of the vehicle was smashed.

On September 7 at 10:58 a.m., Public Safety reported a burglary on the 2100 block of Lincoln Avenue. A UST student reported two bikes were stolen from the unsecured porch of their residence.

On September 7 at 4:17 p.m., Public Safety reported a noise/party complain on the 2000 block of Dayton Avenue. A UST neighbor reported ongoing concerns regarding large groups of people making noise outside of their residence late at night.

On September 7 at 6:08 p.m., Public Safety responded to a suspicious odor in Morrison Hall. A report of an odor of marijuana could not be verified upon officer investigation.

On September 7 at 7:32 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Koch Commons. A UST student with a shoulder injury was assisted by an officer and declined further medical attention.
