Public Safety briefs

On Nov. 6 at 4:05 a.m., Public Safety reported a missing person in Morrison Hall. A non-UST affiliated individual, initially reported missing by a sibling, was later reported found and OK.

On Nov. 7 at 7:06 p.m., Public Safety responded to a fire outside of Morrison Hall. A smoldering ash tray was extinguished by an officer without incident.

On Nov. 8 at 9:12 p.m., Public Safety assisted UST students unable to access their room in John Paul II Residence Hall. The lock to the room, which was malfunctioning,was later fixed by the Physical Plant.

On Nov. 9 at 1:58 p.m., Public Safety reported recovered property outside of Minneapolis Opus Hall. A recovered Apple Ipad was released to the Minneapolis Police Department.

On Nov. 9 at 2:57 p.m., Public Safety reported disorderly conduct on the 1900 block of Dayton Avenue. A UST neighbor reported an intoxicated UST student attempted to forcibly enter their residence.

On Nov. 10 at 9:01 a.m., Public Safety reported a theft in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. A UST employee reported a computer monitor was stolen from a second floor classroom.

On Nov. 10 at 4:46 p.m., Public Safety reported harassment in Dowling Residence Hall. A UST student reported unwanted contact from a non-UST affiliated acquaintance.

On Nov. 10 at 7:25 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident at the intersection of Cretin and Grand avenues. A UST student reported an unidentified vehicle ran a red light at the intersection and almost struck a pedestrian.

On Nov. 12 at 12:58 p.m., Public Safety reported a burglary in Brady Residence Hall. A UST student reported a wallet and cash was taken from their residence by a second UST student.

On Nov. 12 at 3:17 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. A table cloth was stolen from the lower level of MHC.

On Nov. 12 at 10:15 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Dowling Residence Hall. A UST employee reported an offensive message was written on a whiteboard.

On Nov. 13 at 6:05 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident on the 2000 block of Fairmount Avenue. A UST neighbor reported residents of an address on the block made an offensive snow structure.

On Nov. 13 at 10:08 p.m., Public Safety reported a burglary at the Gainey Center in Owatonna, MN. A UST employee reported an unidentified individual entered an unsecured UST building without authorization and then fled when confronted by a guest.

On Nov. 13 at 11:00 p.m., Public Safety reported a safety hazard in the alley way between Summit and Grand avenues. A utility running above the alley was found sagging low due accumulated snow.

On Nov. 14 at 7:37 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Anderson Recreation and Athletic Center. A UST student who injured their knee and was taken by a friend to an area hospital or further medical attention.
