Public Safety briefs

On Dec. 7 at 1:01 a.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Ireland Residence Hall. Urine was found spilled in the south stairway and a bottle of urine was found in a garbage bin.

On Dec. 7 at 4 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft from vehicle at Summit and Grotto avenues. A UST student, whose vehicle was parked in a lot at the intersection, reported their window was smashed and a UST trombone was stolen.

On Dec. 7 at 10:11 p.m., Public Safety responded to an odor of marijuana in Loras Hall. Two baggies containing suspected marijuana remnants were recovered from a second floor garbage bin.

On Dec. 8 at 9:54 a.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. An unidentified individual, suspected in recent UST thefts, fled from campus when approached by a UST employee.

On Dec. 8 at 1:23 p.m., Public Safety reported vehicle damage in LOT 3. A UST alumnus reported her front passenger window was smashed, but nothing was missing from the vehicle.

On Dec. 8 at 7:18 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Ireland Residence Hall. A UST student reported several pieces of personal property were missing from their residence.

On Dec. 8 at 8:20 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident on the 2100 block of Summit Avenue. A UST student reported an unidentified individual parked a white minivan near the shuttle stop, then suddenly fled the area in the vehicle.

On Dec. 9 at 10 a.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. A UST employee reported someone used their computer without authorization.

On Dec. 9 at 12:18 p.m., Public Safety reported harassment in Morrison Hall. A UST student reported they received unwanted contact from a non-UST affiliated individual.

On Dec. 9 at 10:39 p.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a liquor law violation in Murray Residence Hall. An underage intoxicated UST student was transported by SPPD to Detox.

On Dec. 10 at 12:46 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. A UST employee reported a UST laptop was stolen from an unsecured lower level office.

On Dec. 11 at 8:02 a.m., Public Safety reported a fire on the 1700 block of Selby Avenue. A fire at a residence on the block resulted in the residence being destroyed; three UST students sought medical attention for injuries and a fourth student perished as a result of the fire.

On Dec. 11 at 10:18 a.m., Public Safety reported property damage in John Paul II Residence Hall. A first-floor JP2 lounge window was damaged by a UST vehicle clearing snow.

On Dec. 11 at 7:35 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in McNeely Hall. A third-floor ceiling was damaged as a result of a water leak.

On Dec. 11 at 10:46 p.m., Public Safety reported a disturbance in LOT B. Three UST students were yelling profanities from Flynn Residence Hall at other students in the lot.

On Dec. 12 at 3:57 a.m., Public Safety responded to an intoxicated person in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. An intoxicated UST student of legal drinking age was escorted off campus by the St. Paul Police Department.

On Dec. 13 at 5:27 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical on the lower quad. A UST student who fell and injured their knee was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention.

On Dec. 14 at 6:26 p.m., Public Safety reported a policy violation in Morrison Hall. A UST student was found to have improperly used university services.
