Public Safety briefs

On Feb. 23 at 1:37 a.m., Public Safety documented a roommate dispute in Dowling Residence Hall. A UST student met with Residence Life staff and requested to be moved to a new residence as a result of ongoing disputes with another student.

On Feb. 23 at 7:27 a.m., Public Safety and Hennepin County Medical Center medics responded to a medical in Schulze Hall. A UST employee experiencing shortness of breath was transported by medics to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On Feb. 23 at 3:47 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in O’Shaughnessy Science Hall. A UST employee reported a thermostat was missing from a lower level OSS lab.

On Feb. 23 at 5:06 p.m., Public Safety responded to an odor of marijuana in Ireland Residence Hall. The source of the odor could not be determined to upon officer investigation.

On Feb. 24 at 8:05 a.m., Public Safety reported property damage at the Morrison R3 Ramp. The entrance gate arm was damaged.

On Feb. 24 at 3:43 a.m., Public Safety responded to a suspicious incident in the St. Thomas chapel. An unidentified individual soliciting money in the chapel could not be located after officers’ search of the area.

On Feb. 24 at 4:08 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in Ireland Residence Hall. Black marker graffiti was found in a third floor IRE restroom.

On Feb. 25 at 3:06 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to an intoxicated individual outside of Flynn Residence Hall. An intoxicated UST student of legal drinking age was transported by SPPD to detox.

On Feb. 25 at 12:43 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. A UST employee reported three UST computers were stolen from a fourth floor OEC lab.

On Feb. 25 at 9:58 p.m., Public Safety responded to a theft near the intersection of Selby and Cleveland avenues. Two unidentified individuals carrying a UST sign dropped the sign and fled the scene when approached by officers.

On Feb. 26 at 2:49 a.m., Public Safety, St. Paul Fire Department Medics and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a suspicious incident on Marshall Avenue. A report of an intoxicated individual experiencing a seizure could not be verified upon officers’ search of the area.

On Feb. 27 at 1:04 a.m., Public Safety reported property damage in John Roach Center. The glass pane of a fourth floor office door was forcibly removed.

On Feb. 27 at 2:10 a.m., Public Safety reported property damage in John Roach Center. The glass pane of a third floor office door was forcibly removed.

On Feb. 27 at 2:39 a.m., Public Safety, St. Paul Fire Department Medics and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a report of a suicidal student in Cretin Residence Hall. A UST student, who a third party reported may try to hurt himself or herself, was located by police off campus and was OK.

On Feb. 27 at 4:55 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation on the upper quad. An underage intoxicated UST student was sent home with a family member.

On Feb. 27 at 5:28 a.m, Public Safety and Residence Life responded to a liquor law violation in Brady Residence Hall. An underage UST student was found to have consumed alcohol.
