Public Safety briefs

On March 1 at 5:15 p.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics responded to a medical in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. A UST student who experienced a seizure was transported by medics to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On March 1 at 7:31 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to an odor of marijuana in Ireland Residence Hall. A UST student was found in possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia.

On March 1 at 9:32 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Dowling Residence Hall. A UST student reported an unidentified individual had been peering in their window.

On March 2 at 10:31 a.m., Public Safety reported a theft in Minneapolis Opus Hall. A UST employee reported a UST Laptop was stolen from a third floor office.

On March 2 at 2:20 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft in McNeely Hall. A UST employee reported a stack of assignment papers was taken from their unsecured office.

On March 2 at 11:31 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to an odor of marijuana in Brady Residence Hall. A UST student was found in possession of marijuana and marijuana-related paraphernalia.

On March 3 at 7:01 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in Brady Residence Hall. The door of a sixth floor residence was found to have several dents in it.

On March 3 at 7:14 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. A UST student reported they were approached by an unidentified individual asking them unusual questions.

On March 3 at 9:29 p.m., Public Safety responded to a disturbance O’Shaughnessy- Frey Library Center (LIB). A report of unidentified individuals arguing on the fourth floor of LIB could not be verified upon officers’ search of the area.

On March 4 at 7:25 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft in Flynn Residence Hall. Several signs were forcibly removed from stairwell landings.

On March 4 at 8:17 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in Ireland Residence Hall. Black marker graffiti was found in the third floor restroom.

On March 4 at 10:52 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to an odor of marijuana in Ireland Residence Hall. Two underage UST students were found in possession of alcohol, marijuana and related paraphernalia.

On March 5 at 10:42 a.m., Public Safety responded to a disturbance in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. Through investigation, two impaired non-UST affiliated individuals were found to have burglarized the Physical Plant and were later arrested by the St. Paul Police Department.

On March 6 at 1:50 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a party complaint on the 2000 block of Portland Avenue. SPPD cleared approximately 100 people from a residence on the block.

On March 6 at 7:09 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Brady Residence Hall. A UST student’s Xbox, initially reported as stolen, was later recovered and determined to have been hidden as part of a prank.

On March 7 at 9:32 a.m, Public Safety reported property damage in Brady Residence Hall. A window screen was ripped out of a window frame in the sixth-floor hallway.

On March 7 at 11:44 a.m., Public Safety reported property damage in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Pry marks were found on a first-floor MHC doorway.
