Public Safety briefs

On March 27 at 3:14 a.m., Public Safety and Hennepin County Medical Center medics responded to a medical outside Minneapolis Opus Hall. A non-UST affiliated individual who was not feeling well was transported by medics to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On March 28 at 5:26 a.m., Public Safety responded to a suspicious incident at Byrne Residence. Three non-UST affiliated individuals found sleeping in the BYR entrance were identified and trespassed from UST property.

On March 29 at 1:05 p.m., Public Safety documented a suspicious person in O’Shaughnessy Science Hall. An unidentified individual, who a UST employee reported solicited him/her for money, could not be located upon officers’ search of the area.

On March 29 at 3:15 p.m., Public Safety documented a suspicious incident in Terrence Murphy Hall. A UST employee reported two unidentified individuals approached a second employee in a second-floor classroom claiming to be attorneys investigating an accident.

On March 30 at 10:19 a.m., Public Safety documented a policy violation in Morrison Hall. A UST employee was found to have accumulated an excessive volume of unpaid parking citations.

On March 30 at 11:33 a.m., Public Safety reported a theft in John Roach Center. A UST employee reported a UST DVD player was stolen from a first-floor classroom.

On March 30 at 12:34 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in Anderson Parking Facility. An exit gate was struck, damaging the gate arm.

On March 30 at 1:08 p.m., Public Safety documented a suspicious incident in Morrison Hall. A UST employee reported that two UST students submitted online applications for a fraudulent job posting.

On March 31 at 5:26 p.m., Public Safety reported vehicle damage in LOT O. A UST student’s parked vehicle received minor damage as a result of being struck by an object thrown by a second student.

On March 31 at 8:40 p.m., Public Safety responded to a safety hazard in Morrison R2 Ramp. A large anti-freeze fluid spill was reported to Physical Plant for clean-up.

On April 1 at 2:48 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation on the Upper Quad. Two underage UST students were found to have consumed alcohol. One of the students was intoxicated and sent home with a parent.

On April 1 at 11:14 a.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to a liquor law violation in Morrison Hall. Three underage UST students and two underage guests were found to have consumed and were in possession of alcohol.

On April 2 at 12:56 a.m., Public Safety and the Saint Paul Police Department responded to a neighborhood complaint on the 2100 block of Dayton Avenue. SPPD cleared approximately 50 people from a residence on the block.

On April 2 at 2:01 a.m., Public Safety and the Saint Paul Police Department responded to a disturbance on the 1800 block of Marshall Avenue. An unidentified individual, reporting urinating in public, could not be located upon officers’ search of the area.

On April 2 at 4:35 p.m., Public Safety responded to an odor of marijuana in Brady Residence Hall. The odor was found to be originating from the residence of a UST student.

On April 2 at 5:33 p.m., Public Safety and the Saint Paul Police Department responded to a neighborhood complaint on the 2100 block of Selby Avenue. SPPD advised a group of people to clear off the roof of a residence on the block.

On April 2 at 11:25 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to an odor of marijuana in Flynn Residence Hall. The odor was found to be originating from the residence of a UST student.
