Public Safety briefs

On May 6 at 3:04 a.m., Public Safety responded to public urination in Morrison R1 Ramp. An intoxicated non-UST-affiliated individual was sent off campus with a sober caregiver.

On May 6 at 11:25 a.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics responded to a medical in Grace Residence Hall. A UST student experiencing a seizure was transported to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On May 6 at 4:04 p.m., Public Safety documented a crime alert from the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension in Morrison Hall. A non-UST affiliated individual, previously trespassed from campus, was identified as a theft suspect in a series of incidents at other area colleges and universities.

On May 6 at 9:40 p.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department medics responded to a medical off campus. A UST student who fell and injured their elbow on the senior riverboat was
transported by medics to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On May 7 at 1:04 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a disturbance on the 2000 block of Grand Avenue. A report of individuals climbing on top of a residence on the block could not be verified upon officers’ search of the area.

On May 7 at 2:34 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a disturbance at the intersection of Howell Street and Portland Avenue. A group of people playing frisbee at the intersection were advised by SPPD of proper noise levels.

On May 7 at 10:47 p.m., Public Safety reported a burglary in John Paul II Residence Hall. A UST student reported several pieces of personal property were stolen from their residence.

On May 8 at 3:02 a.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to a liquor law violation in Dowling Residence Hall. Three underage intoxicated non-UST-affiliated individuals and one underage intoxicated UST student were sent home with a sober caregiver.

On May 8 at 10:31 p.m., Public Safety responded to a welfare check in Dowling Residence Hall. A UST student, who a second student reported had left for a walk and had been gone a long time, was later located by phone and was O.K.

On May 10 at 6:51 a.m., Public Safety reported a burglary in John Roach Center. A UST employee’s office was forcibly entered and a UST laptop was stolen.

On May 10 at 8:50 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. A UST student reported cash was stolen from their unsecured purse.

On May 11 at 7:48 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident outside of Flynn Residence Hall. A UST student reported the rear tire of their bicycle, secured to the bike rack outside of FRH, was deflated and the seat was removed.

On May 12 at 4:24 a.m., Public Safety documented motor vehicle damage on the 1900 block of Selby Avenue. A UST neighbor reported the rear window of their parked vehicle was shattered.

On May 12 at 6:05 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. A UST employee who received an electrical shock while working in the building was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention.
