Public Safety briefs

On May 13 at 1:39 p.m., Public Safety documented an assault at an off campus location in Minneapolis. A UST student’s parent reported their student was struck at a club in downtown Minneapolis and suffered a jaw injury.

On May 13 at 3:36 p.m., Public Safety assisted several UST students stuck in an elevator in Flynn Residence Hall. A UST vendor was able to repair the elevator, allowing the students to exit without further incident.

On May 13 at 8:58 p.m., Public Safety documented a robbery that occurred off campus. A UST student reported they were assaulted and robbed on Selby Avenue, between Cleveland and Prior avenues.

On May 13 at 10:09 p.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to an assault in Brady Residence Hall. A UST student reported a second student and the student’s guest assaulted them.

On May 13 at 11:16 p.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a suspicious incident on the 100 block of Cretin Avenue. A UST student, who initially reported they received a suspicious text message, later determined the message came from an acquaintance as a prank.

On May 14 at 12:49 a.m., Public Safety and the Saint Paul Police Department responded to a liquor law violation near the intersection of Cleveland and Ashland avenues. An underage UST
student was found in possession of an open container of alcohol.

On May 14 at 1:02 a.m., Public Safety and the Saint Paul Police Department responded to a neighbor complaint on the 1900 block of Selby Avenue. SPPD cleared approximately 50 people from a residence on the block.

On May 14 at 1:10 a.m., Public Safety assisted a UST alumnus stuck in an elevator in Flynn Residence Hall. A UST vendor was able to repair the elevator, allowing the student to exit without further incident.

On May 14 at 9:24 p.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a liquor law violation in Brady Residence Hall. An intoxicated UST student of legal drinking age was sent home with a sober caregiver, an underage intoxicated UST student was transported to detox by SPPD.

On May 15 at 2:23 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a noise/party complaint on the 1900 block of Selby Avenue. Two UST students were cited by SPPD for a social host violation.

On May 15 at 9:48 p.m., Public Safety responded to a disturbance in Koch Commons. A UST student had a verbal altercation with UST employees at the lower level night access desk.

On May 16 at 3:18 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft near the intersection of St. Clair Avenue and Mt. Curve Boulevard. A UST neighbor reported two pieces of personal property were stolen from their unsecured vehicle.\

On May 17 at 3:49 p.m., Public Safety reported a policy violation in Murray Residence Hall. Five UST students were found to have removed a window and accessed the Murray-Herrick Campus Center roof.

On May 17 at 4:04 p.m., Public Safety documented a policy violation in Morrison Hall. A UST student was found in possession of a fake ID.

On May 19 at 12:54 a.m., Public Safety documented a policy violation in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. Two UST students of legal drinking age were found consuming alcohol while studying in LIB.

On May 19 at 4:27 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft in Alumni & Constituent Relations. A UST employee reported an unsecured UST laptop was stolen.
