Public Safety briefs

On Aug. 9 at 12:19 p.m., a UST student reported a suspicious incident on the 2000 block of Dayton Avenue. A UST student reported their secured vehicle was accessed and rummaged through.

On Aug. 9 at 3:18 p.m., a UST neighbor reported a theft on the 2100 block of Grand Avenue. A flask was stolen from the neighbor’s unsecured vehicle.

On Aug. 9 at 4:48 p.m., Public Safety reported a policy violation in Morrison Hall. A UST student failed to comply with the directives of the Dean of Students Office.

On Aug. 11 at 1:42 p.m., a UST employee reported a theft in Brady Educational Center. A UST trumpet was taken from a secured office area.

On Aug. 11 at 10:55 p.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a suspicious incident near the intersection of Dayton and Cleveland avenues. A report of an unidentified individual walking near the intersection carrying a knife could not be verified upon SPPD and officers’ search of the area.

On Aug. 12 at 12:52 p.m., a UST neighbor reported a noise/party complaint on the 2000 block of Grand Avenue. The neighbor reported ongoing concerns regarding a residence on the block.

On Aug. 13 at 9:20 a.m., a UST neighbor reported a noise/party complaint on the 100 block of Cleveland Avenue. The neighbor reported individuals outside of a residence on the block were making a high volume of noise.

On Aug. 13 at 11:36 p.m., a UST student reported a theft from vehicle on the 2000 block of Ashland Avenue. Several pieces of personal property were stolen from the student’s unsecured vehicle.

On Aug. 13 at 12:07 p.m., Public Safety and the Minneapolis Police Department responded to an intoxicated individual near the intersection of 10th Street and LaSalle Avenue. An intoxicated non-UST affiliated individual was transported to Detox by MPD.

On Aug. 13 at 2:34 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in O’Shaughnessy Stadium. An exterior door to an STA room was found damaged.

On Aug. 13 at 8:35 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in John Paul II Residence Hall. A UST couch in the main lobby area was found damaged.

On Aug. 14 at 2:18 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Fire Department responded to an intoxicated person on the 2100 block of Selby Avenue. An underage intoxicated non-UST affiliated individual was assisted by Medics and was sent home with a sober caregiver.

On Aug. 14 at 3:39 a.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident at an off-campus location in Minneapolis. Information received from the Minneapolis Police Department radio link indicated that an unidentified individual was checking parked cars.

On Aug. 14 at 12:13 p.m., A UST neighbor reported a noise/party complaint on the 1800 block of Dayton Avenue. The neighbor reported ongoing concerns regarding a residence on the block.

On Aug. 14 at 1:01 p.m., Public Safety responded to a vehicle accident in the drive aisle outside of Flynn Residence Hall. A UST student on a motor scooter, struck by a non-UST affiliated individual’s vehicle, reported they were not injured and both vehicles received minor damage.

On Aug. 15 at 2:24 p.m., a UST employee reported a theft in Loras Hall. A UST iPad was stolen from the employee’s office.

On Aug. 16 at 12:45 p.m., a UST employee reported a theft in Minneapolis School of Law. A UST computer was stolen from a fourth floor MSL classroom.

On Aug. 18 at 9:12 a.m., Public Safety assisted Human Resources with documenting a formal trespass in Aquinas Hall. A former UST employee was trespassed from campus.

On Aug. 18 at 1:54 p.m., a UST employee reported a suspicious incident in O’Shaughnessy Science Hall. A UST employee reported a biology freezer was tampered with and several lab samples were destroyed.

On Aug. 18 at 7:18 p.m., Public Safety responded to an alarm in O’Shaughnessy Stadium. Two grills with smoldering charcoals within STA, which caused a carbon monoxide alarm to sound, were removed by officers and the surrounding area was aired out without incident.

On Aug. 19 at 7:26 p.m., Public Safety reported a trespass in LOT O. Three non-UST affiliated individuals, found in possession of marijuana related paraphernalia and alcohol, were identified by officers and trespassed from campus.

On Aug. 20 at 3:01 a.m., Public Safety reported illegal dumping in LOT A. A UST student was found placing trash collected off campus in a UST dumpster.
