Public Safety briefs

On Aug. 22 at 3:27 p.m., a UST employee reported a suspicious incident in Morrison Hall. A non-UST affiliated individual posted an offensive message on a UST social networking page.

On Aug. 22 at 9:05 p.m., a UST student reported a theft in Brady Residence Hall. The student’s cell phone was stolen from their unsecured residence.

On Aug. 23 at 11:19 a.m., a UST employee reported a theft in Minneapolis School of Law. A briefcase and UST laptop were taken from the employee’s fourth floor office.

On Aug. 24 at 8:21 a.m., a UST employee reported a suspicious incident outside of Terrence Murphy Hall. A cut bike lock, recovered near the bike racks outside of TMH, was later determined through investigation to have been left by two unidentified individuals.

On Aug. 24 at 3:36 p.m., a UST employee reported a theft in Minneapolis School of Law. A UST iPod dock was taken from the MSL sacristy.

On Aug. 25 at 1:30 p.m., a UST student reported an aggressive solicitation incident near the intersection of 12th Street and Yale Place in Minneapolis. An unidentified suspect coerced the student into taking withdrawing funds from a cash machine for the suspect.

On Aug. 25 at 11:14 p.m., a UST employee reported a suspicious incident on the 2100 block of Selby Avenue. An unidentified individual peering into vehicles parked along the street could not be located upon officers’ search of the area.

On Aug. 26 at 8:37 a.m., Public Safety assisted a UST vendor working in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. The vendor had become stuck in an MHC elevator and was later released from the elevator without incident by an officer.

On Aug. 26 at 2:54 p.m., a UST student reported a theft in Morrison Hall. The student’s wallet, initially recovered as found property inventory, was found to be missing cash.

On Aug. 26 at 4:46 p.m., Public Safety assisted a UST employee in Morrison Hall. The employee reported a concern regarding the UST shuttles running late.

On Aug. 26 at 5:42 p.m., a UST student reported a suspicious incident in Morrison Hall. The student received an email from a UST employee regarding a policy violation that the student believed was an error.

On Aug. 27 at 6:41 a.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to a liquor law violation in Flynn Residence Hall. Officers initially responding to a reported noise complaint discovered two underage UST student and three underage guests consumed and were in possession of alcohol.

On Aug. 28 at 3:23 a.m., a UST employee reported property damage in Flynn Residence Hall. Feces were found on several fourth floor doors and the Physical Plant was advised of the incident.

On Aug. 28 at 5:43 p.m., Public Safety reported a disturbance outside of Terrence Murphy Hall. Two disorderly unidentified individuals left the area on foot upon being approached by officers.

On Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m., Public Safety reported public urination outside of Schulze Hall. An unidentified individual was observed urinating in the bushes outside of SCH.

On Aug. 29 at 1:08 p.m., the St. Paul Police Department reported a noise/party complaint on the 200 block of Cretin Avenue. Approximately 40 people were cleared from a residence on the block where SPPD cited two underage UST students for underage consumption and two other students for social host violation.

On Aug. 29 at 1:25 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical on the 2100 block of Summit Avenue. A non-UST affiliated individual, who injured in their head when they fell from a bicycle, was taken off campus by a family member to seek further medical attention.

On Aug. 29 at 3:52 p.m., A UST student reported a theft on the 2000 block of Portland Avenue. The student’s unsecured bicycle was stolen from the porch of their residence.

On Aug. 29 at 4:03 p.m., A UST student reported property damage outside of Koch Commons. A UST student’s secured bicycle was damaged when the bike rack it was secured to was moved.
