Public Safety briefs

On Aug. 30 at 10:12 a.m., a UST employee reported property damage outside of 2109 Grand Avenue. A UST vendor’s vehicle struck power lines outside of 09G, damaging the lines connection to 09G and cutting power to the building.

On Aug. 30 at 4:35 p.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Animal Control responded to a cat loose in LOT B. St. Paul Animal Control took possession of the cat and transported it off campus.

On Aug. 30 at 11:52 p.m., a UST employee reported a noise/party complaint in Flynn Residence Hall. Officers determined that four underage UST students causing the noise had consumed and were in possession of alcohol.

On Aug. 31 at 1:46 p.m., a UST student reported an aggressive solicitation incident at the 11th and Harmon Place ramp. An unidentified individual who approached the student in the ramp could not be located upon Minneapolis Police Department and Public Safety’s search of the area.

On Sept. 1 at 10:08 a.m., a UST student reported property damage on the 2000 block of Portland Avenue. The front passenger window of the student’s vehicle had been smashed.

On Sept. 1 at 10:37 p.m., a UST employee reported a policy violation in Brady Residence Hall. The employee discovered several empty alcohol containers in a UST student’s residence.

On Sept. 2 at 5 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage at the Morrison R2 Ramp entrance. The top of a UST student’s vehicle was damaged when it struck the overhead clearance bar at the entrance.

On Sept. 2 at 9:30 p.m., a UST student reported a suspicious incident on the 1900 block of Ashland Avenue. An unidentified individual entered the student’s residence and advised the occupants of neighbor related issues.

On Sept. 2 at 11:59 p.m., the St. Paul Police Department reported a noise/party complaint on the 1900 block of Selby Avenue. SPPD advised the residents of an address on the block of proper noise levels.

On Sept. 3 at 12:54 a.m., a UST neighbor reported a disturbance on the 100 block of Cleveland Avenue. The St. Paul Police Department advised four unidentified individuals to stop throwing couch cushions in the street.

On Sept. 3 at 10:58 p.m., Residence Life reported a liquor law violation in Ireland Residence Hall. Six underage UST students were found to have consumed and were in possession of alcohol.

On Sept. 4 at 11:52 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. A UST student who fainted was assisted by an officer and declined further medical attention.

On Sept. 4 at 11:35 p.m., a UST student reported a liquor law violation near the intersection of Cretin Avenue and Grand Avenue. Two underage UST students were found in possession of alcohol.

On Sept. 5 at 1:51 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation outside of John Paul II Residence Hall. An underage intoxicated UST student was sent off campus with a sober caregiver.

On Sept. 5 at 10:52 a.m., a UST employee reported an odor of marijuana in Ireland Residence Hall. Three UST students were found in possession of alcohol, marijuana and related paraphernalia.

On Sept. 5 at 5:06 p.m., a UST student reported theft from vehicle near the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Wilder Street. A UST student reported a GPS was stolen from their vehicle.

On Sept. 6 at 1:54 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a noise/party complaint on the 1900 block of Carroll Avenue. A report of a loud party at the residence on the block was determined to be unfounded.

On Sept. 6 at 3:26 a.m., Public Safety reported a liquor law violation on the upper quad. An underage intoxicated UST student was sent home with a parent.

    This student needs to watch PCU. Or maybe go to a school that is not a wet campus.
