logo_PSBriefs1-300x300On March 7 at 11:05 a.m., Public Safety documented a theft in 32 South Finn Street. A UST student reported her unsecured backpack, containing a laptop and other personal property, was stolen from the lower level of 32F. 

 On March 8 at 08:10 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Brady Educational Center. A UST student who previously slipped on ice and cut her head was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention.

On March 8 at 10:46 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Morrison Hall. A UST student reported that she received unwanted text messages from an unidentified individual.

On March 9 at 2:24 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation on the Upper Quad. An underage intoxicated non-UST affiliated individual was sent home with a parent.

On March 9 at 1:06 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity outside of Terrence Murphy Hall. A UST student reported an unidentified individual outside of TMH was touching themselves in a lewd manner, then left the area.

On March 10 at 1:06 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a liquor law violation outside of 2085 Grand Avenue. An underage intoxicated UST student was sent home with a parent.

On March 10 at 9:42 a.m., Public Safety responded to suspicious activity on the 1000 block of Harmon Place. An unidentified individual reported peering into cars fled the area on foot upon being approached by officers.

On March 11 at 12:48 a.m., Public Safety documented a neighbor complaint on the 2000 block of Fairmount Avenue. A UST neighbor reported ongoing concerns regarding excessive noise coming from a residence on the block.

On March 11 at 1:25 a.m. Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation outside of McNeely Hall. An underage intoxicated unaffiliated individual was sent off campus with a sober caregiver.

On March 12 at 11:02 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Brady Educational Center. A UST student who was feeling ill was assisted by an officer and declined further medical attention.

On March 12 at 1:59 p.m., Public Safety documented property damage in Lot O. A UST employee reported the driver’s side of a UST vehicle was backed into by a second vehicle, causing minor damage to both vehicles, but no injuries.

On March 13 at 6:48 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity on the Lower Quad. A non-UST affiliated individual, previously reported as behaving suspiciously, was identified by officers as the newspaper delivery person.

On March 13 at 8:41 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Morrison Hall. A UST student reported she was receiving unwanted electronic contact from an individual she believed to be a former UST student.

On March 14 at 7:04 a.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department Medics responded to a medical in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. A UST student who fainted was assisted by Medics and declined further medical attention.

On March 14 at 7:34 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. A UST employee reported eight campus mailboxes in lower level MHC were found unsecured.

On March 15 at 3:13 a.m., Public Safety responded to suspicious activity at 2057 Portland Ave. An unidentified individual, who entered 57P and asked suspicious questions, could not be located upon officers’ check of the area.

On March 15 at 8:44 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Morrison Hall. A UST student who was not feeling well was provided a taxi to an area urgent care facility for further medical attention.

On March 16 at 10:34 a.m., Public Safety assisted the St. Paul Police Department with an off-campus investigation. The driver of a motor vehicle, believed to be a University of St. Thomas student, failed to stop and notify the owner of a motor vehicle struck on the 1900 block of Lincoln Avenue.

On March 16 at 5:39 p.m., Public Safety responded to smoke coming from a garbage can outside of Anderson Student Center. The cause of the smoke was burning garbage. It is not known what caused the garbage to burn. The materials were extinguished with water by an employee prior to officers’ arrival. There were no injuries or reportable damage.

On March 17 at 11:43 a.m., Public Safety documented property damage in Dowling Residence Hall. A Physical Plant employee reported they found fecal matter in a clothes dryer in lower level DOW.

On March 18 at 11:38 a.m., Public Safety documented property damage in Flynn Residence Hall. A hole was found in the wall in the fourth floor south hallway.

On March 18 at 4:54 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage on the MacPhail building. Black spray paint graffiti was found on the exterior of a first floor MacPhail exterior door.

On March 19 at 11:09 a.m., Public Safety documented disorderly conduct in Aquinas Hall. A UST employee reported they received a threatening phone call from a former UST student regarding a past due bill.
