Public Safety briefs

On June 1 at 10:11 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Anderson Parking Facility. The parent of a UST student reported the air was let out of the tires of their student’s parked vehicle.

On June 2 at 1:01 a.m., Public Safety responded to illegal dumping in LOT A. A former UST student and a non-UST affiliated individual disposing several bags of garbage in UST dumpsters was identified by officers and sent off campus.

On June 2 at 1:52 a.m., Public Safety responded to an intoxicated person on the drive aisle. An intoxicated non-UST affiliated individual of legal drinking age was sent off campus with a sober caregiver.

On June 2 at 2:05 p.m., Public Safety documented a medical in Morrison Hall. A UST employee reported experiencing ear pain as a result of being present in two other campus buildings during audible building smoke alarms.

On June 4 at 1:33 a.m., Public Safety responded to suspicious activity in LOT G. Two non-UST affiliated individuals removing scrap metal without authorization from a dumpster were identified by officers and sent off campus.

On June 5 at 6:47 a.m., Public Safety documented a policy violation in Morrison Hall. A UST student’s wallet, recovered as found property inventory, was found to contain a fake driver’s license.

On June 5 at 10:51 a.m., Public Safety documented a theft in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. A UST employee reported a non-UST affiliated individual stole 12 DVDs from LIB.

On June 5 at 2:39 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in McNeely Hall. A UST employee reported she received unwanted email contact from a former UST student.

On June 6 at 9:49 a.m., Public Safety responded to a trespass violation on the lower quad. A non-UST affiliated individual, previously trespassed from campus, was arrested by officers and cited by the St. Paul Police Department for trespassing.

On June 6 at 6:53 p.m., Public Safety and Hennepin County Medical Center Medics responded to a medical in Terrence Murphy Hall. A UST student, who was feeling dizzy and light headed, was assisted by Medics and declined further medical attention

On June 7 at 3:50 p.m., Public Safety documented a robbery near the intersection of LaSalle Avenue and 9th Street in Minneapolis. The Minneapolis Police Department reported an unidentified victim had her purse stolen.

On June 7 at 4:06 p.m., Public Safety documented loitering on the 800 block of Hennepin Avenue. The Minneapolis Police Department reported a non-UST affiliated individual was arrested when found loitering in a posted no-trespassing area.

On June 7 at 4:14 p.m., Public Safety documented a robbery near the intersection of Hennepin Avenue and 8th Street. The Minneapolis Police Department reported an unidentified victim had his phone stolen.
On June 7 at 6:57 p.m., Public Safety documented a robbery near the intersection of Nicollet Avenue and 7th Street. The Minneapolis Police Department reported an unidentified victim had her cell phone stolen.

On June 8 at 3:52 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity on the 1900 block of Marshall Avenue. A UST student, attempting to sublease her apartment, reported she was contacted by an unidentified individual and sent a fraudulent check as part of an online scam.

On June 8 at 10:59 p.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a noise complaint on the 1700 block of Carroll Avenue. SPPD cleared approximately 16 people from a residence on the block.

On June 9 at 12:57 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a noise complaint on the 1900 block of Selby Avenue. A report of loud party in the area could not be verified upon officer’s check of the area.

On June 9 at 1:41 a.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Police Department respond to a disturbance at the intersection of Wheeler Street and Iglehart Avenue. A non-UST affiliated individual, reportedly fighting with several other persons who could not be located by officers, was transported to Detox by SPPD.
