Public Safety briefs

On Aug. 31 at 3:10 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity at the Minneapolis School of Law. Laundry detergent was poured in the School of Law fountain.

On Sept. 1 at 1:32 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to an intoxicated person at the SuperAmerica at 2051 Grand Ave. An intoxicated former St. Thomas student of legal drinking age was transported by SPPD to detox.

On Sept. 1 at 1:24 a.m., Public Safety assisted the St. Paul Police Department with a liquor law violation on the Lot B drive aisle. An intoxicated underage St. Thomas student, found by the SPPD off campus, was sent off campus with a parent.

On Sept. 1 at 3:05 a.m., Public Safety responded to a noise complaint outside of 2175 Grand Ave. A group of students playing loud music were advised of proper noise levels and returned to their rooms.  PublicSafety_Briefs_PHOTO

On Sept. 2 at 1:13 a.m., Public Safety, the St. Paul Police Department and St. Paul Fire Department Medics responded to a medical on the 60 block of Cleveland Avenue. A severely intoxicated underage St. Thomas student was transported by Medics to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On Sept. 2 at 1:19 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Morrison Hall. A St. Thomas student received a facial injury while jumping in the bounce house on the Upper Quad and was assisted by an officer and declined further medical attention.

On Sept. 2 at 2:25 p.m., Public Safety documented a fraudulent driver’s license in Morrison Hall. A St. Thomas student’s fake ID, turned in as found property, was confiscated and secured as found property inventory.

On Sept. 3 at 1:45 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a disturbance in Ireland Residence Hall. A non-St. Thomas affiliated individual, who followed students in Ireland Hall, was disorderly and was transported to Detox by SPPD.

On Sept. 3 at 9:11 a.m., Public Safety documented an aggravated assault on the 900 block of Hawthorne Avenue. The Minneapolis Police Department reported that an unknown victim was stabbed by an unidentified suspect.

On Sept. 3 at 2:41 p.m., Public Safety responded to an odor of burned marijuana in Brady Residence Hall. A source for the odor could not be verified upon officers’ investigation.

On Sept. 4 at 10:01 a.m., Public Safety responded to a report of a suspicious odor in 2085 Grand Ave. An odor of marijuana was determined to be coming from the residence of two St. Thomas students.

On Sept. 4 at 3:45 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to an odor of marijuana in Morrison Hall. Two St. Thomas students were found to be in possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia.

On Sept. 4 at 7:45 p.m., Public Safety documented a neighbor complaint on the 1900 block of Selby Avenue. A St. Thomas neighbor reported a loud party had been occurring at a residence on the block for most of the day.

On Sept. 5 at 1:54 a.m., Public Safety responded to medical in Koch Commons. A St. Thomas student was not feeling well was provided a taxi to an area hospital for further medical attention.

On Sept. 5 at 7:24 a.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department Medics responded to a medical in 2151 Grand Ave. A St. Thomas student experiencing a diabetic reaction was assisted by Medics and declined further medical attention.

On Sept. 5 at 11:03 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to an odor of marijuana in Morrison Hall. Two St. Thomas resident students were found to have used and were in possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia.
