Public Safety briefs

  • On Sept. 23 at 3:41 a.m., Public Safety reported an obscene phone call in Morrison Hall. A UST student reported a lewd voicemail was left on her phone by an unidentified individual.
  • On Sept. 22 at 6:43 p.m., Public Safety reported a medical incident in Morrison Hall. A UST employee with a bloody nose was assisted by an officer and declined further medical attention.
  • On Sept. 21 at 9:34 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical situation in Morrison Hall. A UST student with a thumb injury was provided a taxi to an area hospital for further medical attention.
  • On Sept. 21 at 8:26 a.m., Public Safety reported a theft in O’Shaughnessy Hall. A UST student reported his/her cell phone, UST ID and UST key were stolen from a weight room cubby hole.
  • On Sept. 21 at 8:24 a.m., Public Safety reported property damage in Aquinas Hall. A lower level door was found to have damage to the door and frame.
  • On Sept. 20 at 4:22 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a suspicious person near the intersection of Cretin and Summit avenues. SPPD identified a non-UST affiliated person who was behaving suspiciously.
  • On Sept. 17 at 10:10 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident near the intersection of Cleveland and Grand avenues. Two UST students reported seeing two unidentified persons having a dispute near the intersection
  • On Sept. 17 at 3:55 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Dowling Residence Hall. Two UST students reported that they overheard identified persons behaving suspiciously outside their residence
  • On Sept. 17 at 2:44 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical incident in Morrison R3 Ramp. A UST employee, who was struck by a UST student’s vehicle was assisted by an officer and declined further medical attention.
  • On Sept. 17 at 1:35 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Minneapolis Opus Hall. Excrement was found at the base of a stairwell.
  • On Sept. 17 at 2:38 a.m., Public Safety reported a fake ID in O’Shaughnessy Science Hall. A UST student was found in possession of a fake ID.
  • On Sept. 16 at 4:48 p.m., Public Safety reported a motor vehicle theft on the 2000 block of Ashland Avenue. A UST student reported his vehicle was stolen from the garage of his off-campus residence.
  • On Sept. 16 at 3:16 p.m., Public Safety responded to a noise/party complain on the South Athletic Field. Music being played during a UST soccer practice was turned down.
  • On Sept. 15 at 11:04 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft outside of Dowling Residence Hall. A UST student reported her secured bicycle was stolen from the bike rack.
  • On Sept. 15 at 6:04 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Morrison Hall. A UST student reported he received a suspicious phone call from an unidentified individual.
  • On Sept. 15 at 12:44 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft outside of Grace Residence Hall. A UST student reported his secured bicycle was stolen from a bike rack.
  • On Sept. 15 at 11:28 a.m., Public Safety reported a theft outside of Owens Science Hall. A UST student reported the tires were stolen from her secured bicycle.
  • On Sept. 15 at 10:20 a.m., Public Safety reported an assault on the 2000 block of Carol Avenue. A UST student reported another UST student at an address on the block struck him in the face.
  • On Sept. 14 at 11:19 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft outside of Ireland Residence Hall. A UST student reported his secured bicycle was stolen from the bike rack.
  • On Sept. 14 at 10:24 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident on Laurel Avenue. A UST student reported that, while walking along the street, she was approached by an unidentified male in a vehicle offering her a ride.
  • On Sept. 14 at 3:18 p.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a suspicious incident on the 2100 bock of Selby Avenue. The residents of a house on the block were advised by SPPD to remove a lewd sign from the front yard.
  • On Sept. 14 at 4:34 a.m., Public Safety responded to a 911 all in faculty residence. A UST employee reported the number was called accidentally.
  • On Sept. 13 at 11:58 p.m., Public Safety reported vehicle damage outside the O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library. A UST employee backed a UST vehicle into a pole, causing minor damage to the vehicle.
  • On Sept. 13 at 3:45 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation in Lot A. Two underage UST students and two underage guests were found to have consumed alcohol.

  • On Sept. 13 at 2:58 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation near Lot B. Two underage UST students were found to have consumed alcohol.
  • On Sept. 13 at 2:07 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation in Lot B. Four underage non-UST affiliated individuals were found to have consumed and were in possession of alcohol.
  • On Sept. 10 at 11:17 p.m., Public Safety responded to a noise/party complaint on the 2000 block of Marshall Avenue. A report of a loud party was determined to be unfounded upon officer investigation.

  • On Sept. 10 at 2:58 p.m., Public Safety responded to a suspicious person in Dowling Residence Hall. An impaired non-St. Thomas affiliated individual found in the building was sent home with a family member.
  • On Sept. 8 at 3:30 p.m., Public Safety reported a noise/party complaint near the intersection of Selby Avenue and Wilder Street. A St. Thomas neighbor reported ongoing concerns regarding noise in the area.
  • On Sept. 8 at 1:29 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a noise/party complaint on the 1800 block of Dayton Avenue. SPPD advised the residents of proper noise levels.
  • On Sept. 8 at 12:34 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police Department responded to a noise/party complaint on the 1700 block of Carroll Avenue. SPPD advised the residents of proper noise levels.
  • On Sept. 8 at 12:25 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical on the Lower Quad. A student who fainted was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention.
  • On Sept. 7 at 9:24 a.m., Public Safety reported a theft on campus. An employee reported that a door handle was stolen from a bus parked on campus and was later recovered.
  • On Sept. 7 at 1:56 a.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. An employee reported a television in the first floor lounge area was tampered with.
  • On Sept. 6 at 6:34 p.m., Public Safety reported a suspicious incident in Brady Residence Hall. Two students reported several pieces of personal property were moved around in their secured room.
  • On Sept. 4 at 11:30 a.m., Public Safety assisted a student in Brady Residence Hall. The student reported he was missing several gift cards from the bookstore.
  • On Sept. 4 at 12:54 a.m., Public Safety assisted a student and two guests in JPII Residence Hall. The student and the guests were stuck in the elevator and were released after the elevator was repaired by a technician.
  • On Sept. 3 at 12:16 p.m., Public Safety reported property damage in LOT B. The clearance structure was damaged when an unidentified vehicle struck it.
  • On Sept. 2 at 8:13 p.m., Public Safety responded to a suspicious incident outside of Flynn Residence Hall. Two unidentified males were reported to be driving around in a vehicle and yelling at students. The suspects could not be found when an officer searched the area.
  • On Sept. 2 at 7:05 p.m., Public Safety reported a theft in Ireland Residence Hall. A student reported a mallet belonging to Residence Life was stolen.
