Twins tickets to be sold by STAR, Box Office this spring

The Minnesota Twins will start selling single-game tickets at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, online, and St. Thomas students are excited.

“I love the Minnesota Twins, and I really enjoy our new open-air stadium,” senior Beth Langer said.

Sophomore Amy Obritsch said, “It’s the highlight of my summer.”

Students, faculty and staff will also have a chance to purchase tickets from STAR and the Box Office and Expeditions later this spring. STAR will sell tickets for $5. The Box Office will sell tickets for $23 to $28.

“We have sold them in the past, and we sell them because they are a popular ticket item in the Box Office, especially since Target Field opened,” Box Office and Expeditions Manager Kerri Roesner said.

Roesner said the number of tickets the Box Office will carry depends on the game.

STAR has also sold tickets in past years.

“I’ll probably get my tickets from the Box Office or STAR because they are cheaper and decent seats for college students,” junior Alec Nielsen said. “It’s convenient.”

Fans can buy the single-game tickets for the 81 regular-season home games this season on the Twins’ website. The tickets start at $12 and go up to $85 for the best seats in the stadium. Opening day at Target field will be April 8, when the Twins host Oakland.
