Band Club, Bible study group receive USG funding

The Undergraduate Student Government approved club budget allocations and conference and competition requests at its meeting Sunday night.

The Band Club was allocated $1,400. Thirst, a Bible study group on campus, requested $762, but was allocated $362.

The Society of Human Resources requested $1130, but was allocated $430.

Four clubs receive funding for conferences

The American Market Association received $337.50 for a conference at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Engineers for a Sustainable World was allocated $1241.75 for a national conference at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.

Delta Sigma Pi, the business professional fraternity at St. Thomas, received $991.49 for its league conference.

HANA received $135 for the Midwest Asian student conference at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus in Minneapolis.

Club vote delayed

USG Sophomore Class President Mike Orth tabled the vote to pass the Sociology and Criminal Justice Club until the next meeting because the club representative did not come to the meeting.

USG prepares for town hall meeting

USG will hold its town hall meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, in the John Roach Center auditorium, room 126. Chipotle donated 100 burritos, which will be given to students who attend the event.
