Power outage shuts down St. Thomas campus and surrounding neighborhoods

The St. Thomas campus briefly lost power twice on Wednesday morning, along with several St. Paul neighborhoods. Everything from Wifi to lighting and the parking ramp gates shut down.

Xcel Energy reported on its website that 629 customers were affected by the outages.

Outages were reported in St. Paul from the northwest neighborhood of St. Anthony to the Summit Hill neighborhood.

Power was restored by noon across the campus.
