String of burglaries occurs on campus

Public Safety is investigating a string of campus office burglaries that happened last weekend.

The burglary locations include:

  • An office on the third floor of the John R. Roach Center
  • An office on the third floor of McNeely Hall
  • Three offices on the fourth floor of O’Shaughnessy Education Center
  • An office on the fourth floor on the John R. Roach Center

“We are confident we have a suspect on video,” said Michael Barrett, associate director of investigations. “Identifying that suspect will be harder than the public may think.”

Public Safety says the burglaries happened between Saturday, Nov. 21, and Monday, Nov. 23. In all of the cases, window panes were removed from office doors to gain entry. Public Safety believes the suspects are searching for textbooks they can sell to third-party retailers.

The other ACTC schools have been notified of these burglaries.
