Student dies in car crash

University of St. Thomas junior Aaron Schuster died in a car crash in western Wisconsin on Monday, Oct. 3.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, Schuster was driving northbound on Highway 35 at about 2 p.m. when his car crossed the center line and collided head-on with a large truck.

Schuster was treated at the scene by Red Wing paramedics and transported by helicopter to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 3:15 p.m.

Schuster, 20, was majoring in electrical engineering. He graduated from Hastings Senior High School in 2009.

The Bulletin Today said that campus services have not been scheduled.
