Tommie-Johnnie student tickets available online tonight

Vouchers for student tickets for the Sept. 23 Tommie-Johnnie football showdown will be made available online tonight at 7.

Per a sponsorship with the Undergraduate Student Government, a limited number of free tickets are available for current undergraduate students. Students are allowed only one ticket per person.

After going through the online purchasing system, students who make a purchase will be given a voucher for one free ticket. The vouchers can be exchanged for a ticket on Monday, Sept. 18 and Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the lower level of the Anderson Student Center. More information is available on the website.

A limited number of free matchup t-shirts will be available during the voucher exchange period at Tommie Central.

A university-sponsored shuttle will take students to and from Target Field on gameday. Registration will be made available at the same time as the vouchers.

In last year’s matchup, a narrow 33-21 victory, running back Josh Parks led the Tommies offense with 109 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. His late fourth quarter touchdown, combined with a Michael Alada interception on the Johnnies’ last possession, sealed the win for the Tommies.

This year’s clash starts at 1:10 p.m. Sept. 23 at Target Field. Since 2010, the Tommies are 5-2 against the Johnnies.
