Junior Mayzer Muhammad, a biology of global health major who ran uncontested, has been named the new USG president.

Sophomore Sarah Schuler, an entrepreneurship and leadership and management double major, has been named executive vice president. Schuler is excited about her new position and already has some ideas for next year.

“Each year the senate has three initiatives that they like to complete throughout the year. And this year, I was thinking that I want to do goals instead of initiatives just so they look more tangible,” Schuler said.

The new vice president would also like students to know that USG holds open meetings on Sundays that anyone is welcome to attend.

“I really would like students to come to our meetings,” Schuler said. “If they have something that they want to say to student government, they can totally come, and it’s available for them to use as a resource.”
