The Undergraduate Student Government approved $3,200 in conference and competition requests at Sunday’s meeting.

The Royal Fight Club received unanimous USG approval and is now an official St. Thomas club. The club will focus on learning and teaching chess to students and hopes to schedule tournaments with other colleges in the future.

Foreign Affairs Club will receive $1,600 to attend a convention in Chicago. Greg Scharine, sophomore class president, said the request breaks down to about $412 per person. Minority Students in Science Club will receive $1,600 to make a service learning trip to northeastern Mexico in April.
