USG swears in 2011-12 executive board and council

The Undergraduate Student Government swore in the 2011-2012 executive board and council at its Sunday night meeting.

Greg Scharine, the new USG president, was sworn in by former USG president Dwight Anderson. Scharine then swore in the new executive board and council members.

The new council will meet for the remainder of the year in preparation for the next school year.

USG applications

The new USG council members already have been elected for the 2011-2012 school year, but students can still apply for vice president of financial affairs, which will be chosen by the executive board. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Thursday, April 21, and should be dropped off at Murray-Herrick 111. Students must be a junior or senior to apply.

Money management series

USG will host its second session of the money management series at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in the 3M Auditorium. The session will begin with stories from St. Thomas alumni about how to consolidate debt and earn credit after graduation, which will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
