Men’s CC gets fourth in Ohio

Sophomore Ben Sathre took fourth place to lead men’s cross country to a fourth place finish out of 22 teams Saturday in Oberlin, Ohio.

No. 33-ranked St. Thomas beat two higher ranked teams, No. 20 Ohio Northern and No. 31 Johns Hopkins. New York University, Allegheny College and Carnegie Melon finished in front of St. Thomas.

Sathre had the best time for any sophomore or freshman in the race, and senior Brian Sames helped the Tommies with his ninth-place finish out of 243 runners. Senior Mike Connell took 19th place.

St. Thomas competes Oct. 31 at the MIAC championships.
