The St. Thomas men’s golf team is in first place in the 56-hole MIAC championship at Bunker Hills Golf Course going into Monday’s final round. Junior Brian Parkhurst leads the entire field, having shot three-over- par through 36-holes.

The Tommies are 6 strokes ahead of second place St. Olaf College and 8 strokes ahead of St. John’s University, who has won the last four MIAC championships. St. John’s dominated last year’s tourney winning by 13-strokes.

Tommie freshman Alex Kapraun is in third place at 4-over- par, and junior John Young is tied for sixth place at 6-over.

The Tommie women’s team is in sixth place, sitting 48-strokes behind first place St. Olaf with 18-holes left.
