Men’s soccer snap 11-game winless streak against Gustavus

The men’s soccer team snapped an 11-game winless streak against Gustavus with a 2-1 overtime win at home Saturday.

Sophomore Angel Riera scored an unassisted goal in the first period of overtime to lift St. Thomas. The Tommies first goal came off a header by junior Elliot Amundson.

St. Thomas moves to 4-2 in the MIAC and the Tommies are now 3-2-1 in overtime games this season.

Next up for St. Thomas is a 3:30 p.m. game Wednesday at St. John’s.
