Men’s soccer stays alive in MIAC playoff race

The men’s soccer team won 3-2 on the road at St. John’s Wednesday afternoon.

Junior Elliot Amundson got the game-winning goal for St. Thomas in the 84th minute, his second game-winning goal of the season. The Tommies also got goals from freshman Brett Day and junior Reid Moser-Bleil. Amundson and Day both had a goal and an assist in the game.

Senior Carlos Castelan was in goal all 90 minutes as St. Thomas got its fifth win in six games. The Tommies moved to 5-2 in the MIAC and are in the thick of the MIAC playoff race.

St. Thomas plays Saturday night at Macalester.
