The Mall of America is coming to the Metrodome.

The mall and the Minnesota Vikings say they’ve reached a three-year agreement on naming rights to the football field.

The field will now be referred to as Mall of America Field at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome until the team’s lease expires in 2012. Neither party would discuss financial terms.

Thursday’s announcement was the second sponsorship in as many weeks for the Vikings, who are trying to find ways to make more money in the nearly 30-year-old Metrodome in Minneapolis. The Vikings are near the bottom of the league in revenue and are trying to get approval for a new stadium in downtown Minneapolis.

The Mall of America is in the southern suburb of Bloomington.
