Volleyball defeats Puget Sound 3-0 to advance to regional semifinals

The second-seed St. Thomas volleyball team beat Puget Sound 3-0 Friday to advance to Saturday’s semifinal round. The Tommies’ victory brings their record to 29-6 for the season.

Senior All-American setter Emily Foster had 31 assists. Foster broke the St. Thomas school career record and moved to second place on the all-time conference list.

St. Thomas is the host for the 2010 NCAA Regional Volleyball Tournament held from Nov. 12 to Nov. 14 at the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. The Tommies move on to play UW-Eau Claire 6 p.m. Saturday.
