On Dec. 5, 2012 at 9:47 a.m., Public Safety reported suspicious activity in Flynn Residence Hall. Carpeting in the lower level of the hall was soaked with water from a burst water balloon.

On Dec. 5, 2012 at 11:45 a.m., Public Safety documented harassment in the Anderson Student Center. A student reported she received unwanted contact from a second student she was formerly in a relationship with.

On Dec. 5, 2012 at 3:04 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft in Schulze Hall on the university’s Minneapolis campus. A St. Thomas employee reported an unidentified suspect stole items from a donation bin.  PublicSafety_Briefs_PHOTO

On Dec. 5, 2012 at 3:13 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft at 2109 Grand Ave. A student admitted taking and using a second student’s prescription medication.

On Dec. 6, 2012 at 4:37 p.m., Public Safety documented an assault on the 1600 block of Hubbard Avenue. University of Hamline Student Affairs staff reported they received information that a St. Thomas student was assaulted by a Hamline student on the block.

On Dec. 6, 2012 at 5:55 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to an odor of marijuana in Brady Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student was found in unlawful possession of prescription medication and a baggie with suspected marijuana residue.

On Dec. 6, 2012, time unlisted, Public Safety documented a disturbance on the 1900 block of Selby Avenue. A university neighbor reported an intoxicated St. Thomas student attempted to forcibly enter his home and was taken into custody by the St. Paul Police Department.

On Dec. 7, 2012 at 2:59 a.m., Public Safety reported property damage on the 100 block of Cretin Avenue. Two chairs from Monahan Plaza were found on the street and one of the chairs was damaged.

On Dec. 7, 2012 at 5:58 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in the Anderson Student Center. A St. Thomas guest who tripped and sustained a minor injury to the nose was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention.

On Dec. 8, 2012 at 2:24 a.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with an odor of marijuana in Flynn Residence Hall. An underage St. Thomas resident student was found to be in possession of alcohol and a second student was in possession of marijuana.

On Dec. 9, 2012 at 3:45 a.m., Public Safety documented an intoxicated individual at an off campus location in Minneapolis. A non-St. Thomas affiliated individual reported an underage intoxicated UST student, passed out outside of her residence, was taken home by parents.

On Dec. 9, 2012 at 10:15 p.m., Public Safety responded to a disturbance outside of Dowling Residence Hall. Several St. Thomas students were found to be throwing snowballs at Dowling windows and two underage students were found to have consumed alcohol.

On Dec. 9, 2012, time unlisted, Public Safety documented an assault on the St. Thomas Rome Campus. A university employee reported a student threatened a second student with a kitchen knife.

On Dec. 12, 2012 at 10:22 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Grace Residence Hall. A Physical Plant staff member reported a suspicious note was left in the Grace vestibule.

On Dec. 12, 2012 at 7:53 p.m., Public Safety reported a policy violation in Lot G. A St. Thomas student, with an excessive amount of unpaid parking citations, was found parked on campus without authorization.

On Dec. 13, 2012 at 6:43 a.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. A St. Thomas student who fainted during ROTC drills was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention.

On Dec. 13, 2012 at 10:44 a.m., Public Safety documented a policy violation in Morrison Residence Hall. The occupants of a room were found to have removed a window screen in order to access the roof area.

On Dec. 14, 2012 at 4:31 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity at St. Catherine University. St. Catherine’s Public Safety reported a former St. Thomas student was found on campus knocking on residence hall windows and then left the area when confronted by campus officers.

Dec. 15, 2012 at 1 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library. A St. Thomas student reported her unattended laptop was stolen from the third floor of the library.

On Dec. 16, 2012 at 9:02 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Lot K. A pair of shoes was removed from a telephone wire.

On Dec. 16, 2012 3:30 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft in Anderson Student Center. A student reported his unattended wallet was taken from the third floor leadership room.

On Dec. 16, 2012 at 5:06 p.m., Public Safety documented a hit and run in Lot O. A St. Thomas student reported an unidentified vehicle backed into a parked vehicle, causing minor damage to the parked vehicle’s bumper, then fled the scene.

On Dec. 17, 2012 at 8:57 a.m., Public Safety documented an aggravated robbery on the 1200 block of Grand Avenue. An unidentified suspect was reported to have robbed the Kowalski’s grocery with a weapon.

On Dec. 17, 2012 at 6:25 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center. A St. Thomas student reported her unattended laptop was stolen from the fourth floor of the library.

On Dec. 20, 2012 at 5:27 a.m., Public Safety documented property damage in Lot M. A St. Thomas student reported the rear window of his parked vehicle was smashed, but no property was stolen.

On Dec. 20, 2012 at 10:35 a.m., Public Safety documented a theft in O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library. A St. Thomas student reported his unattended laptop was stolen from the third floor of the library.
